Compact and practical for the hiker December 12, 2007 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Generally impressed by the reviews, I bought this in Oct 2007 for $19.50. I've brought it along hiking trips and it has lived up to expectations -- durable construction, easy to carry, and clear optics. My only complaint is that the strap does not thread through the scope easily. Overall, a very well-priced, useful scope.
Great little scope December 20, 2007 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I went to a few outfitter type store to look at monoculars and this one stood out as the best combination of magnification, field of view, and brightness. And in something that is the size of a film canister that costs about $25. Great to keep in your pocket on a hike or in your car's glove box.
great little pocket scope and exceptional price August 10, 2007 4 out of 5 found this review helpful
this little gem is incredible for what you get for such a low price. I replaced another rei generic scope with this one and am glad I made the switch. i will continue to buy brunton products as they are built very well and are simple in design and to operate.
Great monocular January 7, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The first thing I noticed about this scope is how light it is. Specs say 1.8 oz., and that sounds about right. Close-range focus is a little long, I would say about 18 in. Best part of the scope is the clarity you get for your money. I could read a big, neon "Marriott" sign on the top floor of a hotel from a hill 5 miles away. Nice canvas case, lens rag and wrist loop included, all small enough for everyday carry in a jacket pocket for wherever you go.
Jack Bauer's great little pocket telescope October 3, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I looked this up after I saw it being used by Kiefer Sutherland on 24. I'm very pleased with it. For a pocket scope it's very powerful and best of all, it has a very sharp image. I have two or three other pocket scopes, but this is the best.
For a pocket microscope my favorite is the one from the Discovery Store. For a pocket scale, try the 600gm digital sleek portable scale from Half Baked Goods.
